I had some cilantro in the fridge and an avocado that needed to be used up. I decided I would attempt to make a sauce to top any type of dish, from steaks and bowls to salads. It turned out so good! Like with any of my foods, I like easy, simple, and wholesome ingredients.
Ingredients
- 2 small avocados
- 1 handful cilantro (about 1/2) stems can be included
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- juice of 1 lime or lemon
- 1 (or 2) garlic cloves (crushed)
- salt and pepper to taste (about 1 tsp and 1/2 tsp)
- 4 tbsp water to thin
NOTES: If you don’t have fresh garlic, you can always use powdered garlic seasoning. No lime or lemon? Adds some apple cider vinegar. Keep it simple and use what you have! I add the water 1 tablespoon at a time until I reach desired consistency.
Directions
- Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and combine until smooth
Super easy!
